Old Habits Die Hard

I was never fond of Verizon for the three years we used them for phone and internet in Dallas from start (no phone when we arrived in Dallas and still charged on my first bill for the several days before they finally hooked it up) to finish (telling me that phone service was cut off at 5:00 a.m. but that it still counted for a full day).

But today I received a bill from Verizon. The phone number on the bill was for an area code that does not exist, and there was a $6 charge for internet use from Nov. 4-9, 2009.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to call. The lady I talked to was also confused for quite some time, but finally announced that they hadn’t charged me for internet for those 5 days and were doing it now. Seeing how my bill was always the same, I failed to see how that was possible. She was nice enough to remove the charges.
