Homeschool Get Together

After church today we met at Konehete Park with some other homeschool families for hotdogs, chili, desert, and softball. While it was a small gathering, we had a good time. I got to meet a couple of the dads I haven’t met and see some of Jenna’s, Lauren’s, and Rebekah’s classmates. The adults played the kids (ok, the dad’s played the teenage boys). We all batted left handed and had only 6 people to cover the field, but we still beat the boys. No, I’m not bragging, just stating facts. But I think everyone had a good time.

I have a semi-week off as I will not be preaching next Sunday. I am being officially installed, and the district superintendent is coming down to preach and do the service. But since I am going to Knoxville on Thursday for a meeting and since we are going to a conference in Atlanta next Friday and Saturday, it is a good time to have two weeks to prepare for my next sermon.

We are continuing to enjoy the cool mornings—it has been in the 30s for the past several mornings—and beautiful days.
