Detours

We are all home after a slight detour. The girls all did what we thought they would do over the last three days: soccer practice Thursday night, magician show in Franklin Friday night, and Rebekah’s soccer game this morning (which they lost 3-2).

We, however, did not follow our itinerary at all. We did get to Charlotte Thursday about lunch, enjoyed the conference Thursday, including a wonderful dinner that night. Friday morning, however, I got a call that a member of our church was in Atlanta about to have triple bypass surgery. So we checked out of the hotel and drove to Atlanta. We only missed a small part of the conference, and got to Atlanta late afternoon. The surgery went well, and we got to visit with his wife for a good while. We saw her again this morning, and we left about the time her daughter arrived from Florida. And so now we are home with the girls all safe and sound.

They had a great time with their friends, but everyone is tired, and bed times will probably be early for everyone tonight.
