July Weather

We haven’t talked to the girls today, but we did get this picture sent to us.

In other news—which I am sure all of you from Texas don’t want to hear—it is time for the July weather summary.

The average high temp. at our house was 86°, the high for the month being 90° on the 11th, 23rd, and both of the last two days. The average low was 66° with the low temp being 60° the mornings of the 1st and 2nd. We got 2.7 inches of rain. It rained on 7 different days.

It was thundering when we left church this afternoon, rained on us shortly afterward, but the sun was shining by the time we got to this end of the county, and it stayed sunny all day here.

I went to the garden this evening, hoed weeds for about an hour and then picked a bunch of cherry tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers.

Rebekah is having a friend over to spend the night on Tuesday. I am on chaplain call all week at the hospital and will do the service at the nursing home Thursday afternoon. Other than that, not a lot else happening. Without the two older girls, I imagine it will be rather quiet around here this week.
