When my plane from Texas landed in Chattanooga this afternoon, it was snowing. Fortunately, the roads were fine and nothing was sticking except up on the hills.
Unfortunately, nothing was sticking. It has snowed off and on this afternoon, but right now the skies are clear, the pine trees are swaying back and forth in the wind, and it is already under 20° outside.
I enjoyed the quick trip; we accomplished a lot in our two days together, working through about twelve detailed outlines for some future sermons. We are convinced after this little experiment that three people can get more accomplished, faster, and do a better job than one person. We would love to make this a regular occurrence.
I also got to see a couple of good friends while waiting for my ride to the lake house and catch up on what they were doing. Come to find out, the lake house was just a few miles from my in-laws, so we went over Thursday evening for a quick dinner and visit.
The place we stayed was covered with deer; they were not too much of a distraction as they kept walking through the yard.
Finally, while not the best part of the trip, I have to admit, it was nice to see the horizon again.
