Lizards and Frost

The cat caught and the girls rescued this fellow this afternoon.

Doesn’t he look thankful? He had a surprisingly beautiful underside.

We were wondering when we would have our first night in the 30s. Our first night in the 40s was right on with the last two years, but it looks like our first night in the 30s is going to come sooner—like tonight. For the last two years it was the first week in October. We are under a frost warning for tonight.

After a little looking, we found out he is an eastern fence lizard. Hope he found a warm place to get last night.
